178 Players competed in the Championships on Saturday and 177 on Sunday
and the superb condition of the course really produced some wonderful
scores. Our visitors were from - Yeppoon, Emu Park, Gracemere. Mt. Morgan,
CCC., Mt. Warren Park, Calliope, Wowan, Biloela, Gladstone, Blackwater,
Boyne Island, Burrum Heads, Emerald, The Dunes, Gold Coast, Hope Island,
Rydges, Redcliffe, Springsure, Tieri and Woodford. The City of Rockhampton
Open Champion for the 36 Holes Gross was Trevor Tougher from Yeppoon with
a great score of 140. Ricky Gunzler from Mt. Warren Park was runner up
with 148. B. Gr. Open Champion was Michael Walker (R'ton) with 175 and
Wesley Ramm (R'ton) runner up with 177. Neil Laracy (R'ton) was the C.
Gr. Open Champion with 184 followed by Peter Goody from Gracemere runner
up on 189. The 36 Hole Nett (RGC Member) and winner of the McCauley Cup
was Grant Funch with 140. Trevor Tougher won the 36 Hole Nett Visitor
with 138. Saturday's 18 Hole Nett Results: A. Gr. Winner - Tim Grieves
(R'ton) 68 on c/b. Grant Funch was the A. Gr. nett runner up with 68.
Josh Sommerfeld (R'ton) won the B. Gr. nett with 68 and Fred Flenady (R'ton)
the runner up with 71 on c/b. In the C. Gr. Neil Laracy (R'ton) was the
winner with 68 and Kevin Tetsworth (R'ton) the runner up with 71. Pin

LADIES' OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS.
101 Ladies competed in these Championships sponsored by Capricorn Investment
Partners Ltd. - David French. Our visitors were from - Yeppoon, Emu
Park, CCC., Gladstone, Calliope, Middlemount, Gracemere, Boyne/Tannum,
Miriam Vale and CIR. The CCR for the day was 75. Our Overall Champion
for the year 2007 was Sandy Grimshaw (Calliope) with 77 Gross, Sandy was
the A. Gr. winner also. A. Gr. Runner up was Mary Granville (R'ton) with
83 on a c/b from Raelee Smithson (R'ton). B. Gail Jackson (CCC) won the
B. Gr. with 90 and Loretta Donaldson (R'ton) was runner up with 93. C.
In the C. Gr. Noreen Flohr (R'ton) was the winner with 103 and Judy Black
(Middlemount) was runner up with 106. The Nett results were as follows

Carol Young (R'ton) with 32c.m. (9 balls) and Jan Farquhar (Yeppoon) won
No. 18 with 1m48c.m. (9 Balls). Pin Shots on 4 were won by - A. Gr. Mary
Granville 2m97c.m., B. Gr. Kathy Davidson 32c.m. and Judy Black (Middlemount)
won the C. Gr. with . 9c.m. On Hole 15 the winners were - A. Gr. Sandy

by Di Garvey, Limich Gifts. Our visitors for the day were from CIR, CCC,
Yeppoon and Gladstone. The winners were our local pair of Kathy Pill and
Mary Willis with +9. Marty Kendall & Trish Swaffield from CIR with +5
on a c/b were runners up. The Run Down was - Mary & Kathy +9, Marty &
Trish +5, Rosemary Carleton & Shelly Horwell +5, Helen Kerlin & Judy Carswell
+5, Hazel Price & Ivy Casey +5 and Claire Jenkins & Joan Moore +4 on a
c/b from others. The Pro shot on 2 was won by Margaret Dunphy with 3m31c.m.
(5 balls) and No. 18 by Kathy Maxwell with 7m.44c.m. (5 balls). Club Shot

Sponsored by Hastings Deering. 32 Players competed in the City of Rockhampton
Open Mixed Championships. Visitors for the day were T & R Brindle (Coff's
